The religion on non-violence-Jainism

Jainism is perhaps the oldest, or atleast one of the oldest religions in the world.Its relics are found in Harappan excavations. It is born and developed in India.Today its followers are seen in almost all parts of the world.But moast of them are Indianmigrants in those countries.
PRINCIPLES
Jainism advocates following principles:
1.Tell the truth
2.Be non-violent in thought, deed, and words
3.Do not steal
4.Have minimum needs in life.
5. Be satisfied with single sex-partner
While it is not possible for ordinary householders to follow these principles in the strictest sense, saints can follow these in that way. So, householders are permitted,rather expected to follow these in normal sense. That means, you can avoid telling that cheats or mis-leads others.you can refrain from stealing. you can avoid meat-eating and be a veeterian.you can refrain from oversexual activities which preserves your moral and social dignity,etc.
